++++Since forming in 2005, NORMAL LOVE has stood firmly in the zone between feral intensity and strategic rigor. Members are currently based in both Brooklyn and Philadelphia..

Taking cues from a number of influences, NL drew initial inspiration from the sounds of pioneering artists transcending the confines of no wave, contemporary composition, underground metal, noise, outsider pop, oddball punk, musique concrète, early industrial, as well as various modes of free improvisation. At times, Normal Love has even invoked the creative talents of a select few of their unsung contemporaries, challenging them to write compositions of immense depth for the band.

After a brief performance hiatus, as well as several alterations in personnel and instrumentation, the group’s heightened internal focus has both sharpened and unified their approach– distilling their efforts into a potent gestalt (in regards to both sound and sight). This latest unit is finishing up material for release and subsequent US tour.++++

NORMAL LOVE has been invited to perform at The 1st ever Philadelphia Bang on a Can Marathon, Guitar Festival @ The Stone (February 2007), the 1st annual Philadelphia POPPED! Festival (April 2007), and the apogee-esque Dark Forces Swing Blind Punches Festival (December 2006).

Outside of Normal Love, members have been known to play in such bands as :

Satanized, Zs, various Anthony Braxton ensembles, Mary Halvorson & Jessica Pavone, Dynamite Club, and Knife the Glitter.

Members have also performed and/or recorded with artists such as:
